Gmail

What is Gmail?

A personal mailbox from Google's email service.

Dots do not distinguish consumer gmail.com inboxes. That rule must not be applied to a custom domain just because Google hosts its mail.

How should you handle Gmail signups?

Verify ownership, then apply your account and reward limits. Keep personal email welcome unless work email is essential.

What you cannot infer

A Gmail address alone says nothing about company affiliation or how many product accounts someone controls.
